Photography
Ken Rockwell
Already well known not only for his numerous in-depth reviews of lenses and cameras, but for his articles on photography as an art, and how to be the best at it. He also has an extensive portfolio of work mostly done with large format 4 x 5 film. I think you'll find his site as a whole to be very enlightening.

Adorama
Good prices on new gear, and better deals in their used gear department. Yes, that means they'll buy your old photo stuff. They also have a huge learning center with how-to's, news, contests, forums, etc. I get most of my gear/film at Adorama, because they ship fast and their returns are hassle-Free with a capital Free.

North Coast Photographic
Wonderful cost-efficient lab. I get my film processed and scanned at 5035 x 3339 for a total of $23, and the CD/DVD arrives with the negatives back at my door. That's Minnesota to California and back in less than a week.

Photo King
Local lab in Wayzata, MN. They offer digital prints from their free online user albums, as well as good ol' 35mm processing. Their scans are "only" 3000 x 2000, but I use them if I need to see my film scans ASAP, which is less than an hour for them.

Pearson Imaging
Another local business. Up to 4000 ppi scans from just about any size film you can imagine. From 35mm negatives, this means about 5500 x 3665, or 20 megapixels. Very quick turn-around time; of course, I live within bicycling distance anyways. Definitely reccomended if you have a ton of old slides or negatives lying around, which was my case.

Luminance HDR (formerly Qtpfsgui)
Free program for merging differently exposed images to form one of higher dynamic range.

Hugin
Free program for stitching two or more images together for a panoramic photo.
